Geez...take a look at the pocket on JR's toss to Vandenberg. He could have eaten a sandwich and drank a beer.

What the sam hell sort of blocking were we doing against ISU to get NO holes then? I just don't get it.

Here is the Scherff Blitz pickup. This block was awesome!

Rudock showed some pretty good deep accuracy on his two long throws, something that got lost in the reax

I love the Scherff vid, and also like that he chose to block in the inside guy...who had a quicker path to the QB.

Love this approach to breaking down a play. Hope to see more of it. I'd be happy to provide some .gifs if I knew how.

Great stuff. Do you have software that can auto save every x number of frames and save into the .gif?

The weisman run was great at showing all the combo blocking and assignments. A good replay to show to those people who dont know or look for that kind of teamwork, and how the center calls out the blocking assignments.

Not for sure but in the CJ to Powell throw it seemed that CJ had the ability to throw that ball another 10-15 yards.

The blitz pick up was great and fun to watch. I also like on the play that CJ threw to the sticks to get the first down. KMM was open underneath. He may have gotten the first down, and that was the safer play, but I still like the "get the first down" mentality especially in one on one coverage with a big receiver.

I have a funny feeling number 79 will be moving to left tackle next year. Watch the block he makes on Weisman's touchdown. I have to tell you, I've been really impressed with him and I've watched him a lot. He's already got great technique in pass protection. He's going to be a really, really good player for us and you know he will be 300 pounds by next fall. He can really move. And he has 3 years remaining.

you notice on this play that beathard threw to the wrong receiver? He throws that to Martin Manley and he gets the first easily (assuming accurate throw) and might score.

Instead he went for the harder throw to a more covered receiver.

except he didn't get a first down on that play. That was a terrible read.

Shouldn't you be at cyfan where everything is sunshine and roses. You previously said you prefer it over there because of the negativity here versus the optimism over there. I prefer to think of it as delusion over there and reality here.

Watch #4 running toward KMM, he would have gotten there and may or may not have gotten the first down. So we were inches short, but it was a hot read on a blitz, he had to get the ball out of his hand fast. It was a good play.

I see #4 and by the time the ball was going over kmm's head #4 was 10 yards away and kmm would have the entire middle of the field to work with. Even if he doesn't make a move to get by him he's at least at the spot that Hillyer ended up at.

It worked out, this time. But whether it's Jake missing deeper reads or CJ missing the closer ones those are the types of things that can derail a drive.

That doesn't really make sense considering they aren't too optimistic about Iowa over there. The difference is I expect them to **** all over the Iowa football program.
