His post on Facebook:

"Sorry Hawks. Don't get to play this week but next week is a different story."

O-Line is going to be real thin Saturday but better Saturday then later on in season.

i'm not too concerned about this week. next week is when we will need him. give him a week to rest it. we will take care of business, then focus on iowa state

Bummer. Sure we probably don't "need' him to win but what we do need is our offensive line getting as many reps as possible as a unit.

Better to have him miss one game, get healthy and be close to 100% for next week and beyond than play and be 65-75% for the next 4.

And we all know who the back up to Adam Gettis was??? Wait for it.... wait for it...... Cody Hundtermark!!! F.... why did he leave now? Here went your chance kid....

This is not good....ankle sprains can be nagging. Now I find out from Hawkeye Report that Murray is doubtful for Saturday's game.

Iowa hasn't even played their first game and already the injuries are starting to mount.

Hardly. We have a couple of guys with some minor stuff that are being held out for the first game. Way different from years past when there were guys that were gone for the season at this point.

Actually, Iowa is going into the season far healthier than recent years.

What he said.

A few minor injuries is alot better than what was happening last year.

thin o line, and thin running backs, could mean Arob, has trouble breaking free, and stanzi forced to throw quickly or forced to throw on the run a lot.

Have you ever watched Stanzi play? If he is "forced" to throw on the run, I think you will be pretty happy with the balls he throws. He is one of those rare guys that is better throwing on the run than he is with his feet set.

After i posted this, i realized he was at his best throwing on the run. LOL

While CH was listed as second team RG, he was not going to be starting this week despite the Gettis injury. That probably help contributed to him leaving. KF said 7 linemen have seperated themselves, CH wasn't one of them. We know who the 6 are, whoever is the 7th is the starting RG for us this week.

Thank you. Some people need to look up from their computers and look outside Iowa City. NOT ONE Big Ten team is going into their opener injury-free. Relatively speaking, we're in good shape, and far better than many past years.
