Getting mad at national coverage

The story being told is Davidson lost because they didn't make 3s they usually did and Iowa is given no credit for this. They were scared to dump it low because of our length and thus there was no inside out game and our guys were all over their 3 point shooters.

They missed those shots because they were bad contested shots.

Guess des we'll have to take some respect by beating the zags.

I do not recall seeing any of our highlights on ESPN but pretty much every other game played had at least a snippet.

I will say Miles Simon gave us some serious props last night with his comments.

We just have to keep winning to get noticed. Tough game with the Zags coming but that would do it.

1. You are right, coverage odd, but there are others saying we looked great.
2. Why do you care? Just be happy we won and hope we keep winning. Keep your mind right, man.

I've been looking around this AM and finding very little. Had we lost, the media woulda been crowing about how they called it. Frustrating.

It was a 7-10 game, meaing there was no national power playing. It was a blowout, meaning there wasn't a buzzer beater to show. There were 16 games yesterday they could show. From the outside, it was not an interesting game...and I'm fine with the way it turned out.

Win one more, beat the zags and the hawks will be noticed. Really if the hawks had a big run in the big 10 tourney and now had a 25-10 record with their schedule they would seeing more luv.

A bad loss to jNW and then Penn St in the tourney have kept them a question mark.

Beat the zags and a sweet 16 brings lots of attention.

I was shocked not to see any highlights on sports center but I guess I figured they would at least how a couple highlights from every tourney game.

I'm thankful for it, honestly. The last thing this team needs is to have the media gushing over a dominant 31 point win. Making them feel like they are the cats meow. I hope this team goes all the way to the Final Four as an unsung underdog.

I hope the Iowa players feel like they are getting disrespected as well. I like them playing with a chip on their shoulder.

I didn't watch Sports Center, but every other outlet I've watched/read has been very complimentary of Iowa's defensive effort. Almost to a person they praised their ability to smother Davidson's perimeter game while showing the athleticism and quickness to cutoff driving lanes despite the extended D. Some were surprised, some not as much.

I think the video he is referencing is with Eamonn Brennan from ESPN. I agree he wasn't giving Iowa much credit, but nor do I care. Like last round I'd rather have the attention on the Zags. Survive and advance.

In the tournament you're team having no highlights typically means you destroyed a lesser team. We beat Gonzaga we'll make some highlight shows. Especially after Uthoff does it on a buzzer beater

What do you expect? They all picked it as an upset and it turned out to be an embarrassingly bad pick. I don't think allot of them are happy about it.

If Davidson shoots their average from 3 they still lose by double digits.

I was listening to XM radio on channel 91 on my way home from work and they were very complimentary toward Iowa and UNI. One of the guys talking is coach currently still alive in the tournament and he was so impressed that he said he and his staff need to start recruiting out of IOWA now.
