Get back on track

After listening to one of Miller and Deace's podcasts, I think the recipe to getting back on track is to run run run. Simply put, it's what this roster is designed to do. It's easy to want to use the "shiny toy" that is CJ Beathard, but the receivers have not grown up enough yet and the offensive line isn't good enough to have anything much more than a 50-50 run pass ratio. As Jon pointed out, the best medicine for the next couple of weeks while the games are "easy" is to get back to some of the Ken O'Keefe offense and rebuild some confidence.

Yeah, but Ken O'Keefe is not walking through that door anytime soon. I'm just hoping that the coaches get the thing figured out and starts walloping other teams again.

Move McCarron into Vandy's position and let's move on.

NW and Minnesota aren't going to be "easy"

I don't think they'd move him but can see them trying to bring one of the youngsters up. Not sure McCarron could fill those shoes or has that skillset. I could see Nash getting some play there as he was next on the 2 deep. I also could see DeVonte Young getting into the mix. He looked very good at the Iowa Kid's Day.

In addition to why I don't see McCarron moving over is that just creates one more moving part to have to adjust to. If move him over then have to groom the next to fill his position in addition to grooming McCarron to fill a new WR position. I think they will just identify another young player to fill Vande's position or get in the 2 deep behind Nash.
