They replaced everything from the hip down with the latest in technological advances. The recovery time was much shorter too.

Stress fractures suck. Had one my senior year of baseball. Played through it for a week and a half then could hardly walk when I got up in the mornings, actually had to crawl to the bathroom once. Sat out about two weeks and decided it was my senior year and I wanted to play so I played through the pain for the last couple of weeks until we lost at sub state. It eventually healed on it's own but boy was it painful after the adrenaline wore off after games. I feel his pain. If he can play through it, good for him, it will heal just fine when the season is over. Especially considering he has a training staff that knows how to treat it.
