Oh, the horror! Took 8 shots and made 62.5%!! Sit that boy down! Need to put him in his place now or this will get out of control.
 
The competition argument makes me laugh. Kinda like McCall last year. Are people seriously unable to spot individual talent regardless of the competition? He will have some off nights but every basketball player does. You can go ahead and book it, Gesell's a stud. Even tho he is a ball hog.
 
The only, remotely ill-advised shot he took was on a drive in the lane. He got stuffed, but drew the foul (which was clearly his intent from the start) and hit the free throws.

He was the furthest thing from selfish yesterday. Nobody was selfish out there, to be honest. Gesell stayed cool and really commanded the offense.

He didn't force any shots. He had 3 assists in 19 minutes. Your post makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
 
Gesell scored a lot in HS too, cause he was the best player/shooter on the court. but in AAU ball he deferred more to Woody and Paige. some in the area called him selfish in HS, but from what i've seen of him is that he's just confident in his shot. not worried at all about him taking too many shots, i think he could be a legit 2 guard if he wasn't such a good ball handler.

anywho. i vote basketballman for troll of the year award. dudes been working it hard right from the get-go this year and deserves some recognition.
