One of the few players who can get to the rim, penetrate, breakdown the defense a little bit (although Wisky put on a clinic today concerning switching players and closing off penetration).
Hawks were down 8 with 5 1/2 to go I think and Gesell on the bench. I just think he should have came back into the game sooner rather than later.
End the end Wisky was too tough on the glass or Iowa was too weak and a normal free throw shooting day by Iowa would have had us a lot closer at the end and not having to foul so much.
Eight more offensive rebounds for Wisky and a few more free throws as most of the other stats were pretty even.
If you told me before the game the hawks shoot 48% with only 8 turnovers I would have said we win unless Wisky did a Mich St and shot 70%. But something was also weird when Iowa shot 64% in the first half and were still down 6-8 points.
