I think he can recruit, the problem is if he can coach them. He reminds me a lot of the Zooker.

I think a lot of coaches could bring talent into Auburn ... It is knowing how to coach it once it arrives ... That part of the country has lots and lots of talent playing in the high school level ...

No joke, if the guy can sell himself to a top 10-15 job with a 5-19 record, he can sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves.

I'm not a fan of the guy, but it's unclear at this moment whether or not Gene Chizick can coach. His 5-19 record at ISU would say he's not a good coach, but it's not as if he underachieved with a talented team. He was at one time one of the if not the hottest assistant coach in the country. Part of him getting hired at Auburn had a lot to do with his previous experience with the school and his familiarization with the area.

I personally know someone who has a friend that is an Auburn booster. That booster gave a bag of money to an Auburn recruit. I'm just saying.

Exactly. Some schools recruit themselves & the coaches just have to choose who they want to fill their needs. The players come to them almost. This is why coaches love to coach at Florida, USC, Texas etc.
