"Iowa AD Gary Barta said the top 2 bowl options for Iowa football are the Outback and Holiday.
He's had extensive conversations with both this week.
The Outback must cycle through 5 different Big Ten teams over a 6-year period and has had 4 different ones the first 4 years (of this current agreement)."

The downside for the Outback Bowl taking Iowa would be it could not take Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, or Northwestern next year. It should be noted that they would have the same situation if they took Northwestern this year as well. If I was in the Tampa Chamber of Commerce, I'd rather have Iowa than Northwestern. I don't know if Delany will see it this way though. I think sending Northwestern to either the Citrus or the Outback is going to result in a loss for the B1G.

I'd put my wager on the Holiday in light of the current arrangement since we've just recently been to Tampa(x) and we're one of the 4 teams they've already cycled through.

Does it really matter where we go or who we play?? I can't take another defeat this year!

Is Barta seriously not going to acknowledge that Iowa has recently been to the Outback after the 2016 and 2013 seasons?

How could Iowa seriously be considered for the Outback? The outback and pinstripe are 2 bowls that should be not be considered for Iowa.
