STILLBUSTER

Didn't record the game so going completely off what I thought I saw on both the drive after the SUPERsa fumble and the last scoring drive (while still enjoying the lingering effects of my pre-game warmup, to boot
)
It seemed to me that McNutt was wide open for the fade on multiple plays ...
he was single-split wide right against a C-4 with CB playing hard inside, at least 8 yard cushion and I don't even remember seeing the safety in the vicinity. I saw this on consecutive plays on the final scoring drive and was literally jumping up and down screaming "Corner's inside, fade to McNutt, fade to McNutt!" only to watch them rush Coker up the middle.
Fortunately, KF got ballsy and JVB picked up the 4th & 1 on a gutsy boot, with Coker getting the 1-yard TD dive. However, it sure would have been a sweet "nail" moment had they gone to this after the forced fumble (which only netted 3).
2 questions:
1) Did I see this correctly or did I only see part of it?
2) Wouldn't these have been ideal times for the fades -- at NwU's 20 to 25, with plenty of room for the play to develop, MMcN isolated and having outside advantage due to DB's giving room and playing hard inside?
