RBHG is an acronym that stands for Angry Iowa Running Back Hating God. It is a legendary curse created by fans and sportswriters to explain the unusually long string of bad luck experienced by the University of Iowa Hawkeyes' running backs.

That was a tough era. I remember the one season the only back had they had was like the 2nd string fullback. I remember they got down to the one, let him try to punch it in. Didn't make it. They ended up throwing it in on the next play I think. The guy, to my knowledge, never got a TD. I think he was from California. I felt terrible he never got that TD.

They got to the 4th stringer once.. Im pretty sure Paki O'meara was our starting RB for a game.
