Game Day in IC on 22 September???

So if we take care of UNI and Wiscy takes care of BYU next week, both teams come in to Kinnick on 22 September at 3-0. It will probably be a night game. Will Game Day be in town??? I'm not a huge fan of the show but it would be some good exposure for recruiting.

BTN, I believe, has already announced they will be in town, probably down by the Memorial Union.

I can't see both them and ESPN being there the same weekend or ESPN superceding BTN but I don't know for sure exactly how something like that would work out.

Are game times typically announced about two weeks in advance? I recall seeing times announced by Rob on Sunday in the past.

No, Iowa is unranked and will continue to be. Wisconsin will be favored by 10 points in this game. I just don't see it having the juice necessary to attract ESPN.

It was that way in the past but with the new TV contracts they have compressed the lead time for game times. If you have tickets to the game it makes it harder to plan but they are going for the TV ratings and marquee matchups.

BTN Tailgate is the "feature" that day, so my guess is $ECNetwork--I mean, ESPN--will go elsewhere.

Good Lord, BTN is already having a gazz over Michigan's "resurgence". They damn near cried over Nebraska's loss. WTF?

Big brands doing well = big ratings.

If the BTN needs Nebraska to be relevant for their ratings, the BTN is in serious trouble.

Nebraska could quietly be known more and more as a basketball school in the immediate future.

Michigan, yes. Nebraska isn't a big brand anymore...outside of the fusker state.

I would agree if Frost wasn't their coach but right now he's the young star coach who kept himself in the news even after the season was over.

Like him or not, he brings fame as a former great player, an exciting offense, & credibility to their program. Totally underserved at this point but its a story the media gravitates to. A young homegrown coach trying to revive a once proud program with a rabid fan base.

Well, here are the other games. ... Depends if Iowa is Ranked in 2 weeks or not

Also Oregon and Stanford play

then again, they may go to a DIII or Times Square

You have to also consider entertainment value. Iowa ins't a very strong brand these days and Iowa's offese sucks. Could this hold the attention of a national audience?

Iowa night game upsets typically do. Go look at the 2016 Michigan game. How about Penn State last year?
