It was that way in the past but with the new TV contracts they have compressed the lead time for game times. If you have tickets to the game it makes it harder to plan but they are going for the TV ratings and marquee matchups. Are game times typically announced about two weeks in advance? I recall seeing times announced by Rob on Sunday in the past.
BTN, I believe, has already announced they will be in town, probably down by the Memorial Union.
I can't see both them and ESPN being there the same weekend or ESPN superceding BTN but I don't know for sure exactly how something like that would work out.
BTN Tailgate is the "feature" that day, so my guess is $ECNetwork--I mean, ESPN--will go elsewhere.
Good Lord, BTN is already having a gazz over Michigan's "resurgence". They damn near cried over Nebraska's loss. WTF?
Big brands doing well = big ratings.

Michigan, yes. Nebraska isn't a big brand anymore...outside of the fusker state.
If its anything other than a night game someone should be fired. We were told after the ISU game that we should know the Wisconsin game time on Monday.
Iowa night game upsets typically do. Go look at the 2016 Michigan game. How about Penn State last year?...
You have to also consider entertainment value. Iowa ins't a very strong brand these days and Iowa's offese sucks. Could this hold the attention of a national audience?
