funny NU fans

I lived in Lincoln for three years....and it is true. Nebraska fans are truly the most dillusional football fans on the planet. It's quite funny actually. It's like they are all stuck in a time machine back in the mid 90's when they were actually relevant.

Well apparently someone in the Big 10 thought that NU was relevant. If not, it's great to have actually been relevant at one time.

Jealousy is not becoming.

I think it's pretty interesting to see y'all's takes. Kindof funny to see some of you say that "Nebraska ain't gonna roll, this ain't the Big 12 North" while some of you are saying "That schedule isn't that tough, quit whining." We all know that Delaney tried to pit Nebraska against all of the "greats" of the Big 10.

That being said, I don't think that there is a game on our schedule next year that we can't win. I also think that there are 4-6 that could be possible pitfalls.

Realistically, this team could be anywhere from 13-0 to 6-6. If they perform like they did in 2010, a 3 loss season with a couple of good wins and close losses seems reasonable.

All of the greats? Must be a lot of "greats" in the league;). You realize that every team in that division faces a similar lineup outside of their protected rival? That schedule is just how the big 10 stacks up. No more Kansas or Colorado to play for a guaranteed W. The difference of one team on the schedule might make it a little tougher, but certainly nothing to be complaining about. You've got to take the bad with the good of being in a premier conference. That being said, I think Neb. will match up fairly well with some of the spread offenses of the B10 because they've been designed to compete with Mizzous and Oklahomas of the FBS world. Where they might struggle is going head to head with tOSU, Iowa, or Mich St and eventualy Michigan and probably Minny again.

I just see that with our cross division games, Illinois, Purdue, and Indiana were left off (correct me if I'm wrong). I haven't looked at any other team's schedule, but it looks as if the Big 10 made sure that they got as many marquee matchups as they could in the first 2 years. Which is understandable, they have a new big sell, might as well exlpoit it.

I realize that CU and KU sucked last year, but 4 of the 6 Big 12 North teams have made BCS games since the conference was formed. Only Mizzou (probably the 2nd best team recently) and ISU have not played in one. CU's were in the early 2000's, but KU won the Orange Bowl at the end of 2007.

Good, glad to see you didn't take anything personally. Actually seems like a pretty educated response to my comment, I'll have to give you props on that one. Upon further thought, I realized that there are only 5 games that are identical for each divisional opponent, that leaves 3 others (not 1) to chance that could be a difference between say 10-2 and 7-5 at the extreme. So I guess get some cred for that. Now I haven't actually looked into it lately and compared to other divisional teams (legends or leaders, I forget which the "west" actually is), but I have seen it before and recall NU's 2011 schedule pretty difficult. All I can say here is if you hold your own and still are relatively healthy by the end of November when you meet the Hawks, then you deserve to be here.
Truth is: even though I'm sure I'll end up hating Nebby in a few years, back in the early 90's they really seemed like a true smashmouth, "black and blue" kind of big ten team with that power running game and that huge offensive live that just wore teams down and beat them into submission. Granted things have changed a little, but here's to hoping that more of that attitude returns to the B10 and come bowl season, we start taking out the lighter SEC opponents. If there is anything we could come together on, I'm sure this would be the subject.
Should be entertaining next year.

6 wins? Now you sound polar oppisite of them. I think they will do ok. 7 thru 9 is pry more like it. I do love that thier "second best team" got beat by a Iowa team that was rather depleated. That does not bring alot of credibility to his arguement.
