Oh for crying out loud, shut up. This happens nearly everywhere with a coaching change, and not every new coach ends up the way Lickliter did. He was an exception, not the rule.

Well I'm sick and tired already of people making doomsday predictions just because a guy wants to transfer and a recruit wanted his release. FYI, Larson said that he'd be open to Iowa re-recruiting him. He's wanting to check out other options again, but he's got to have his release to legally do that. It doesn't mean he won't find that this is the best place for him.
The transfers/decommitments happen all the time with coaching changes, so I don't get why all of the sudden this has become "same sh*t, different day". McCaffery isn't Lickliter, and this was going to happen just because it's typical, not necessarily because it highlights a fault in McCaffery.

He's right. It happens virtually every time there's a coaching change. If you thought all of the recruits and current players would stay you were setting yourself up for disappointment. If you thought only the bottom of the rotation guys would leave, you were just being hopeful.
Of course it's frustrating because of the defections in Lickliter's tenure, but what happened today is par for the course when you make a coaching change.
