Win 2 games earn $350,000?

If Iowa can get into the tournament with 2 wins and good showing in game 3, Fran can earn $350,000. He would get a $150,000 bonus for making the tournament this year, and $200,000 salary increase.

FYI: I have no problem with this, i would prefer to see bonuses for achivements rather than a huge base salary.

FYI, you have your bonus and salary increase switched. Fran gets a 200K salary bump and a 150K bonus for reaching the NCAA Tournament.

He also gets $100K for winning the BTT. Go Hawks!

My guess is the money is a distant 3rd on Fran's priority list. One is almost certainly for his players. Two is likely because he hates to lose. Three is making some extra money. I think three is going to happen very soon one way or another.

Does anyone know if we're done paying Lick yet? I was thinking this was the last year...hoping that money gets moved to Fran and his assistants. We have outstanding assistants IMO.

Done. I think he was the in the top 5 in the state for highest paid persons last year, while coaching NAIA Marion College in Indianapolis. However, best money the athletic department has spent in the last several years.

I'm sure the players want to win, but it might take some of the pressure off them if they play some for their coach in the tournament. I'm sure the players are aware of Frans contract.
