Fran’s Future

Because none of us really know what Fran’s future holds, I will post a far fetched, totally fact free, fun for me opinion. Here goes:

I have been following Fran’s recruiting class. He would be crazy to leave Iowa with the quality, not to mention specific skill sets, of our new guys. I propose that the new group addresses rebounding and defense and physicality, and athleticism.

Yahoo. Go Hawks!

Didn’t we hear these same things two or three years ago. It’s like chasing that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Where is this great point guard some were talking about? Did he redshirt? Not joking as I haven’t seen this guy yet.

The point guard is the equivalent to a QB in football. Here we are still waiting for Fran to find this guy. Why is it so difficult for him to find the point guard that has been the missing piece all these years. Wasn’t Fran’s position point guard when he played? Wasn’t he called white lightning or some thing like that?

Huck I am not picking on you. In fact some may have noticed I have tried to be more optimistic. In favor of keeping Fran given the way the sport has changed.

Replacing him with a more successful coach isn’t likely unless some billionaire steps out from the shadows with a truck full of money to buy an all conference team. Maybe I should play lotto since I am visiting here in Iowa. Flying back to Utah on Sunday.

I wish nothing but the best for my beloved Iowa Hawkeye basketball team.
