How long is Fran's current contract thru? I feel like we're in a bad spot where we will either have to extend him soon for recruiting purposes otherwise.

McCaffery, 55, in his fifth season as the Hawkeyes' coach, had a year added to his previous deal, extending it through the 2019-2020 season.
Well, we don't actually "have" to...So if we don't fire him at the end of the year we pretty much have to extend him for recruiting purpose. Great!

Wait...he's only under contract for 2 more years? We are actually in a decent position to fire someone for once.
it amazes folks have turned so fast on Fran but kirk gets a pass every year because we're a developmental school in football. apparently, we aren't a developmental school in basketball.
Kirk has had success here and Fran hasn't.

I'm much more sick of Kirk than I am of Fran but I'm not happy with either of them right now. But, as Jon says, fatigue is cumulative. I've had a lot longer to get sick of Kirk's oatmeal-ass style of painful wins and losses to bad teams.it amazes folks have turned so fast on Fran but kirk gets a pass every year because we're a developmental school in football. apparently, we aren't a developmental school in basketball.

You're a member of these boards and really think KF get's a free pass?
