Fran vs. the "T"

While I agree with this, the fact remains that we're giving up points as a result of this momentum changer. Whether its directly costing us games is a whole different argument but the fact is that we lost to Wiscy by 4 and MSU by 2, which happened to be the exact same amount of points we surrendered by Fran getting T'd up. Whether it costs us the game is one thing, but I think we can all agree that we giving up the 6 points didn't help us win any games either.

Gene Keady comes to mind. After a few years of success in the B10 Fran will get more leeway.
 
If you're T'ing up Fran for being a psycho than just do it (he is one and deserves the T's.) But don't say it's because he's out of the box and then let the other coach do it just a minute or two later. That's just stupid and looks terrible.

I don't get this argument. Because if he didn't get the technical and going off of this logic then wouldn't we have been up 8? There's nothing concrete to base the effectiveness of T's during the game except the actual result of the game, which was a big fat stinking L.

If it makes anyone feel better, I was sitting courtside and myself, and everyone I could hear around me, got after Sanzere hard after the technical and the missed travel. I will say, Those refs have a tough gig in that environment, right or wrong. But I felt like Sanzere was easily the worst of the 3 that night, without question. The other two were in decent moods but he seemed like a he was in a spiteful, unhappy little puke of a mood.

But we lost because we couldn't score, and we couldn't handle Appling...and he ran his mouth the whole night.
 
I have some experience with this sort of thing that may lend some rare credibility to my words. The Summer is the only season where I don't exclusively bleed black and gold, and it's because I'm a very rabid Atlanta Braves fan. Bobby Cox obliterated the ejection record, and ESPN once memorably showed a segment with every single one in the span of three and a half minutes. There's just something great about feeling injustice and looking back at the TV to see the LEADER in their face expressing discontent. It just feels so helpless sometimes but a fiery coach or manager will ALWAYS MAKE FU*****G SURE the team is spoken up for.

I'm guessing at some point somebody will point out baseball's different somehow because they don't award runs to the opponent of the ejected manager. Well don't waste your time because one thing and one thing only is for certain: Having that voice is PRICELESS. If you're worried about opposing teams taking two extra free throws against us in exchange for our dignity you're probably not cut out for this game's seesaw nature. Fran McCaffery is cut out in freaking SPADES.
