Enrolling now, not available to play till next year. Will have 3 years of eligibility remaining as well I believe.

Yes, I assume that's part of him enrolling in classes now. He can practice, get training table etc.

I don’t want to go negative here, because getting this guy into the program is a good get. I’m just not confident Fran is going to be around after this year. If Fran leaves, guys are going to scatter, and you are starting over from scratch. Is this guy going to stick around if Fran isn’t the coach?

I don't imagine unless our next coach is already here. That said, have to keep recruiting. I am sure the question on whether Fran will be here is at the top of every discussion with every recruit he signs. A lot of people thought last year was the last year for Fran, it wasn't. We really have no idea if Fran is planning on this being it. We have no idea if Iowa misses the dance, maybe Fran is let go? Ya just never know but you gotta keep swinging and putting pieces in place. This guy had offers from Iowa, Miami, Butler and Nebraska. I'd say that Butler and Nebraska are more secure/settled at HC and in their immediate futures then Iowa at least on the surface. Fran is selling something to these guys.

Not sure if you are talking about them all being black? I'm happy about that. I hate it when there are only a couple black kids on the roster because it probably makes it hard to bring in more. That said, in Fran's first big class after bringing our program back he loaded up on black kids and the class busted hard, which caused Fran's one really bad year since his first year. Hopefully this one turns out better. Although two of those kids are older transfers so it's not exactly the same.
