Fran needs to get MAD again

Fran has single handedly cost us the Wisconsin and MSU game by giving the other team free points by getting T'd up. The last thing we need is him getting mad and embarrassing the the University even more than he already has, if that's possible. Maybe if he does something to get suspended for the season, then it would be worth it. We could have a real coach like Sparew take over then.

I certainly hope not. There's 50 other plays to point at in both of those losses — plays by the guys wearing jerseys. Fran may have cost a few points against each of those teams. But not scoring for long stretches, missed free throws and turnovers had more to do with those losses than a technical foul.

Again, overlooking the obvious. If the travel is called in the MSU game the scoreboard would take off the 2 points for MSU. Plus, Fran does not receive the T. You can then take those 2 points off the board. That is a 4 point swing. Not to mention the 80 approximate possessions in the basketball game which many resulted in missed shots or turnovers. Those had nothing to do with the losses? Right? This argument is hyperbole.

Lickliter would have single handedly cost us those games and many others. Fran has single handedly put us in position to win games like that and many others. If he gets suspended, Kirk can take over, pick up some nice wins, and later have them vacated.
 
I don't need a mad Fran. I need a Coach Fran, this is a very talented team and IMO being managed very poorly right now.. So I don't need a mad Fran, I need the smart Fran who FIGURES OUT HIS DAMN ROTATION..

Under Lick, Iowa wouldn't have been within 15 or 20 in those Wisconsin & MSU games.

shear lunacy..Did Lick get us to a top 10 rating. Did Lick get us to the NCAA which is what Fran will do barring a major meltdown.

Look.. Fran had to spend 3 seasons undoing the harm that Lick left this program in. It was a shambles with little Div 1 talent. Lick tookover a program in much better shape than the one he left. Just stop watching Iowa you whiner.
 
Look in the mirror and not laugh when you make that comparison with Lickliter and McCaffery. Isn't it great when the team has expectations? Coaches, players, fans, media, etc. all need to learn how to handle the expectations. Am I upset because the team has lost? Absolutely. Has it turned me into a sour apple? No...this team and program is better off than it was 4 years ago.

You could have brought in the top 10 female basketball players in the nation to fill out the roster and this program would have been better, that's not really saying much and is kind of an excuse for losers.

Exactly. Real coaches don't compare themselves to where the program was, but they compare it to other top flight programs. Look at Roads at ISU, he's not worried about comparing his program to where it was when Chizik left, he's comparing it to Alabama and the likes, and right now they stack up pretty well with Bama.
 
I made this thread to juxtapose the "Fran's too mad!!!!" thread. And it became a real thing.
