Fran has racked up more Technicals than Lick had in three years?

Does anybody know if Fran has more "T's" in his first five games than Lick had in three seasons? I like his fire.

I know Lick had one last year, but you might be right.

I love McCaffery. I think he's great for Iowa. Just needs time to get this going.

Losing big time on the boards is what cost us today. You can't give the opposition that many offensive rebounds and expect to win. Baby steps. We will get better.

We only had 14 turnovers today. Not great, but acceptable. LBSt. had 16.

Much better than the 24 or whatever it was a few games ago. We're getting there.

What I'm concerned about after yesterday is our rebounding.. We can't expect the games to be close, much less winnable, against tougher competition if our opponents are getting that many more shots than we are. Gotta compete a little better on the glass, or we'll get obliterated by 2nd chance points in the Big Ten.

Without looking it up, what was the trend with McCaffery's Siena teams when it comes to rebounding? Typically good, not so good, or average?

I just hope the technicals simmer down a bit. You don't want to be another Gene Keady or Bobby Knight.....both great coaches, but made themselves look ridiculous night in and night out.

14 turnovers with Fran's offense is a heck of a lot better than 14 with Lick's offense because of the increased amount of possessions. If we turned the ball over 20 times last year, that was horrendous because we didn't have that many possessions.

Well, when it comes to getting technicals...

Fran doesn't give a Lick.

Not sure I'd like the baggage that would come along with the success. I guess if we were winning B10 titles year after year, you could let a little integrity slide.

Integrity? I am not sure that I understand. While a technical foul can give the opponent a chance to score extra points, if used right, it is also an opportunity to fire up your team, change the flow of the game, or even better make a point to the referees.

So I do not see where integrity even comes into play...
