Some good news today that Fox Sports 1 will launch on DirecTV and Dish Network. Mediacom is also ready to launch the new channel on Saturday.

This is big because the Iowa/Iowa State game is on FS1 on 9/14. Shouldn't be issues finding the game for most. As a reminder, FS1 will replace the current Speed Channel.

They are. Right now, the going rate for Speed is roughly $0.29 per subscriber, Fox wanted in the neighborhood of $0.90 per subscriber for Fox Sports 1.

NASCAR will remain a staple on FS 1 as well as other racing series'. The Camping World Series and qualifying will remain on FS 1and staring in 2015, a handful of Cup and Nationwide races will also be aired.

That I don't know. It's possible it could end up on Fox Sports 2, which is lost in the shuffle of FS1 hype.

Long-term, I'm excited with the new Fox Sports 1.
Saturdays programming of NECKCAR and human cockfighting (UFC) is brutal.
I'll watch the FSL that evening.

Hopefully, the model will be after Fox News and not Fox Business.
Fox News was able to overcome CNN, whereas CNBC is still dominant over Fox Business.

Hulu and Netflix for $20 pretty much is as good as Cable. I really wish ESPN would do a streaming service line Netflix. I think it will be coming in the next couple years.

Not even close, and I don't even watch much TV. If you like sports at all, there is no way that you can drop Satellite. Watching sports on some illegal stream isn't watching the game.....Watching games in HD on my 10' screen is watching games!
