If he's correct, and Nardo is really only weighing 227 lbs I sure hope he isn't in the rotation. If he lost some of the weight from the Rhabdo case then I'm sure he'll put a good 15 more lbs back on before the season. Either way, I think he would be too small to be the kind of player Iowa needs at DT. I would hope Ferentz would give a guy like Cooper a shot before he put someone that undersized in.

FWIW: Nardo was listed last year at 277, not 227. Typo I assume.

Iowa's defensive philosophy counts on the D line to perpetually put pressure on opponents' offenses. I hope for a good showing from the D line this year.
Unless Iowa's defense goes in a radically different direction this year, the offense better be prepared to put up a 'boat load' of points if they want to win.
