I knew the associate HC deal for Perry, and certainly assumed it was a move to groom him for HC but did we know it will be in 11/12?

He is going to do BIG things out there and I hope that he continues to run that program into the future. It would be tough to pass up a big 10 or big 12 job if it came open eventually but I'd love to see Mark stay in Cali and make that into an elite program and I think it would do well for the sport!

I think Mark is the kind of guy who would almost rather take a program in Cali and build it than take over a Big 10/12 program. I'm not saying he wouldn't but he certainly has a history of wanting to break out and do his own thing.

Wrestling, as a sport, NEEDS a coach like Perry in California. Young, enthusiastic, well known, good teacher, not scared, etc. etc. etc. could go on forever.
