Forget the Hate; Why ISU's Loss Might Help Iowa

I will be happy with one win and then go from there. Iowa/Davidson is a total toss up game.i

How anyone can be thinking elite 8 yet is beyond me.

Considering the fact that we are fans and not on the team, it's pretty easy to think about the sweet 16 and beyond. We don't need to Take it 1 game at a time. Our thoughts looking forward don't affect the players. If they did, the team would have some big issues

Well, for most of us it's either the #7 seed of Self-Deprecating Humor LOLs vs. #10 seed of Sarcasm Smiley-Faces.

No, it's not. Iowa is a very good team in a tough conference. The only way this is a toss up game is if we play like total dog crap and they shoot lights out. There is a 3% chance of that happening. I get that in the tourney anyone can win any given game, but I categorically refuse to believe that Iowa is a toss up game with Davidson. It just isn't.

I don't think it is accurate to say we are a very good team. If we were we wouldn't have lost to Northwestern.

i would say we are a PRETTY GOOD team. There is a difference. But I think we win this game, similar to how we beat Indiana.

Missed that NC State vs. Phi Slamma Jamma game, I guess....

It wasn't even CLOSE...

Are you serious??? Maybe I am misunderstanding your statement.

That NC State game was an air ball that was picked up after it missed the rim completely, and cleared it completely, and then it was put up and into the basket. It was completely different from this UCLA game today.

There is no way that NC State game was a missed goal tending call and no one other than you has ever intimated that it was. Any replay is very obvious in showing this. If that is what you are trying to say, you are way off base. If that isn't what you are trying to say, then I apologize in advance.

If the ball is past the rim but hasn't touched the ground and someone grabs it, then it is absolutely NOT goal tending. If you think that was goal tending, then you are clueless and the point cannot be properly debated because you are not willing to observe the rules or see the obvious.

Sorry if that seems harsh, but I watched that game when it happened and remember it vividly, as I thought NC State would win that game before they played it.

I'm not happy to see Alford advance (and neither is a pretty significant segment of the UCLA fanbase, I'm guessing), but if we won tonight and pulled the upset over Gonzaga, I'd love nothing more than to beat Alford to advance to the Elite Eight. That would be the ultimate "**** you" and might even exercise that particular demon from our souls.
