Iowa didn't get a warmup since it took 3 people 20 minutes to put up the net. Baylor warmed up while Iowa waited.

It may have put Iowa at a disadvantage at the start of the game and tournament officials should have delayed the start -- ESPN be damned -- to give the Hokks a chance to put some balls in the hole. However, I don't think that would have stopped the annihilation we saw in the second half. Iowa was simply out-manned and out-gunned.

I knew there had to be a reasonable explanation. Then again, it might have actually preserved some energy to avoid it being 30 points.

I understand that not warming up in the first half probably wouldn't have changed the second half, but it could have changed the first half and game plans for the second. Never the less iowa had a disadvantage at the start of the game.

Nothing other than Baylor's talent, and Iowa's not hitting the broadside of domed football stadium in the second half, explains what happened last night.
