Football snap off opening tip leads to fantastic alley-oop in Iowa all-star game

Nice play but should have been 10 second backcourt violation. I'm sure since it was basically an exhibition, referees overlooked that detail.

I clocked it at 10.6 and 10.3 seconds. That's more than close enough to let it go when you're operating without a stopwatch?

How is the 10-second rule defined? If the time doesn't stop until the ball is controlled in the front court (in cases where the ball is passed across the mid-court line), then it's more like 12 seconds here and should have been a violation.

I doubt they were even counting, probably just a "fun" game. Kudos for creativity.

also note the ref on the far side...he starts counting off..albeit a bit late...it was around 10.5 seconds. certainly within the margin for error for a HS game with no shot clock and refs not starting the count that soon...he only got up to five on his arm count.

I think there was false start and he threw the ball pass the line of scrimmage.
