Football Players and Facebook

I seriously think players should be very careful with how the present and represent themselves on these sites. I've noticed that Adam has dumped his active account and now it's an old one that was active but rarely used.

Why would players put themselves out there like that on a social network is beyond me?

I guess I just don't get it. Something I think KF and his staff should take a strong look at.

Who said anything about taking away their social life?

If I were them, I would keep my private facebook account as just that - private. I would start a public one for fans/etc.

There is nothing wrong with being on Facebook, but when you are in the public eye, you have to be careful what you let others see...

Exactly! I have a job in which I am in the public's eye to a small extent... and I actually use an alias on facebook so that the only people that can find me, are the ones that I contact and inform them of my alias. I like it....

Not saying take away there social life. I'm sayin that they don't need to be accepting everyone and their mothers as friends so that they can access and interact with them. IAhawkfan nailed it.

I would wager that Adam knew maybe 10% of those over 5,000 friends he had.
