Football Games Are 60 Minutes

My question that I haved posed to people today is....if we got off to a 35-3 lead in the first half, and still had 5 interceptions and won the game 42-24, would that be an ugly win?? Why is it different to outscore a team 35-3 in the second half as opposed to the first half?

Funny - I had the same thought. Seems like battling back is less desirable than holding on to win.

It doesn't make sense to me either. Apparently you have to dominate at the correct time in the game, or it doesn't count as a "good" win.

I can see the difference. You get off to a 35-3 lead then winning by the final score would be seen as "letting up". It's an interesting point though.
