Don't know about the rest of Hawkeye Nation but I'm getting real sick and tired of J Layman using this program for his own personal place to continually bash the Hawks! You're a big time D Bag layman!

J was a former Illini LB under Ron Zook and on the Rose Bowl team. He was not highly recruited because he was small. He begged Zook for a chance and Zook gave it to him. Is was the definition of over achiever. J made a living at LB by getting a lot of assisted tackles by relentlessly pursuing plays. He was not a stellar LB, but some how through over achieving and relentlessness made All Big Ten and All American. He was a standout in a win at #1 Ohio State. His brother lives somewhere in the CR/IC area. He's actually a good guy and a great motivational speaker. You may not like what he says, but he knows what he is talking about.
Last year in the Championship game, the Hawk performance and D play calling would have driven any former All Big Ten Linebacker crazy. Iowa deserves some criticism. They certainly get it here.
And yes, btw I do know him. He is not as you describe in his personal life. You also have to admit that KF at times drives us all nuts with questionable things and we say it.

What exactly did he say this time? Elaborate. Yea, I don't get that he's a bad guy at all, just trying to stay on TV with controversial opinions. Maybe he has an angst against Iowa, who knows. Kind of like Northwestern level angst. Like a knat to just swat away.

Jay probably isn't a bad guy but it gets pretty old listening to him make fun of the Hawks all the time. He pretty much made fun of the whole offense and kicked us to the curb. Just some more disrespect and coming from the Big ten network I'm just surprised they would do that to the magnitude he did it. Maybe I'm getting fed up with it and just need to vent but I really thought it was uncalled for! For crying out loud the Hawks don't need everybody crapping on them!

The Hawks don't deserve to be ranked any higher because we are not flashy! Only flashy teams deserve to be ranked high. It was like 5 ypc big deal! I'm still ticked so I probably shouldn't be using any quotes.
