Football attendance

Iowa powers that be are smart to keep Kinnick around 70,000. It will be closer to sellout than some of the big guys, maybe even places like Wisconsin (84,000 +) when their wins regress to the mean, and they will.

Iowa: A great fan base, loud, into the game, knowledgeable, the Kinnick mystic, and the reputation for being a miserable experience for visitors, will work well. Like everyone else, we need to find ways to attract better student attendance and have the game experience be dramatic enough to get people out of their living rooms. Wins, of course, are key. I think the NEZ improvements were a big plus. As a south EZ guy for many years, the increased leg room is enough to make many of us very happy.

Watching it on the biggest, clearest TV is never the same as being at the game. I understand why people want to stay home, but it's not for me. You can't adequately replicate from your home the experience of watching Duncan's kick beat Michigan with tens of thousands of people.

Agree 100% with this post. In person is always better than tv. Like looking outside through the window. Usually being outside is better than being inside looking out.

I've said this a lot by my desire to actually go to games has diminished to the point I could give up tickets at any point. In fact the only reason we still get them is that my wife wants to. I don't think we'll keep getting them much longer.
