OK, not everyone is a geezer who needs people off their lawn. There are a lot of commercial breaks, halftime, most people get to the stadium with 15-20 left in warm ups. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to want a cell signal in a stadium besides "kids these days" ya old farts.

We do leave the police phone numbers at home too in event call or text cannot get through. Only game I have had issue with that would be ISU games where so many extras show up outside.

I just don't do the facebook/instagram/snap chat thing. I don't drink either so I am a get off my lawn type of old guy even though not real old yet. I have no problems with those that choose to drink though. I don't like the level of profanity at the games, but that usually comes from the youngsters that have been doing the drinky drink for hours before the game.

Good cell service would be great. I have friends not at the game who like to communicate, telling me how a play or call looked on TV replay or asking about something they couldn't see. Also good to connect with friends who's seats are elsewhere.

As for the morons who hold their phones up in front of their faces rather than experience the actual event happening right in front of them.... I don't think there's any putting that genie back in the bottle. They're bots who increasingly can't differentiate between analog reality and the synthetic digital world.

The simple solution to increase attendance is to lower ticket prices. Supply and demand. It’s too much of a burden to go to a game these days with ticket prices so high. Some people make the sacrifice but others can’t. You drop prices and you’ll see a sold out Kinnick Stadium every Saturday.

This is a great post and right on. Even the mediocre seats at Kinnick are tremendously expensive. And, they don't really need the ticket revenue with the TV money pouring in!! Lower the costs

My point was conceptual, not specific. Wi-fi works great in Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. Man Iowa fans really do have low expectations.

I always get great cell service on game day. Both at home in my living room and on my boat for the earlier games. Always great food at my "concession stand". Crab boil, fish fry, smoked pork ribs, smoked pulled pork, smoked chicken. Plenty of parking. Good friends. And the price is always right.
