I love the NBA. My ranking of sports I'm a fan of:
1a. MLB
1b. College Football
2. NBA
3. College Basketball
4. NFL
5. Various Olympic Sports
6-100. Others

If u are a true fan of the game of basketball... i dont see how u cant enjoy the NBA. Its the game played at the highest level.

I think it may be a little too flashy or perhaps things are happening too quickly for some of the older, more old-fashioned folk out there...

Absolutely love it. It lost some luster for me with the Bulls being knocked out so early, really a poor situation. But I watch games regularly throughout the rwg season and watch a lot during playoffs. Usually make it to 3 or 4 games Bulls games a year. Went to 3 this year and had tix for game 1 of second round in Chicago (didnt work out as planned, figured it would be against the Celts). Oh well I really enjoy it and think its an excellent product.

I tend to watch during the first week and throughout the playoffs. I watch the highlights throughout the regular season, but the NBA is much more impressive in the playoffs when teams actually play some defense.

the easiest way to prove you don't know much about the NBA is to talk about its lack of defense

Talking about how there is more passion in the college game drives me nuts too. Just because a bunch of dudes run around with their arms flailing doesn't mean they have more passion.

There is more passion in your average regular season college game than your average regular season NBA game. But that is to be expected (especially this year) when NBA teams are playing 3, sometimes 4 games a week and travelling across the country.

I’m terribly bored otherwise I would probably not post on this topic, but I voted against the ponies, for the record…..

As far as the NBA goes there aren’t very many guys I work with in a dealership full of sports nuts that care all that much for the NBA. We all kind of get behind the Bulls and Derek Rose, but it seems we are mostly football guys with a handful of college bball guys….and those of us who follow box scores in baseball as the year progresses and then some playoff baseball.

With some NASCAR, Soccer and various other things mixed in. Quite a bit of extreme sports interest and the Olympics of course.

As far as the defense and the NBA goes…..just for fun I googled it and the consensus seems to be they do play some D, but it is more of an offensive geared league now and they played more physical D back in the late 80’s and 90’s with several guys known as legendary defenders. Not so much today…..

I watch a little, but really I don’t get the same excitement I do for other things….they are however incredible athletes and I even went to a Bulls game this year with my Boss. Its amazing how small they make the floor look.
