Flagrant fouls 1 and 2.

I've watched an awful lot of college ball this year and honestly don't recall it being called 1 time. Is this something new for the NCAA Tourny. How is it that I'm now seeing atleast 1 or 2 called per game, I know that is a stretch but it sure seems like it.

What? They've called this during hawk games this year....

I've noticed lots more flagrant fouls being called recently, that's for sure.

But I'm also watching a LOT more basketball the past couple of days than I've watched all year.

^ 1 against Nebby..that small center vs. White is the only one I can remember but there may be more.

They called one against MSU too in the tournament game. The flagrant rule needs adjusting. Its ridiculous that an accidental elbow can be deemed as too much contact.

I believe Woody got nailed for one but I can't remember which game it was...it was one of the last home games, possibly Nebby at Iowa? Dougie Fresh McDermott got hit with one in their first round game as well when his elbow touched a guy's nose who was trying to wear DM's uniform at the same time he was and Doug was looking to make a pass out of the double team.

I remember the old days when the coaches would tell us to keep the ball high and our elbows out to keep defenders off after a rebound...apparently the NCAA feels that is unfair to the guys who would like to hack the crap out of you and not have it called while trying to get the ball back...
