Iowa beating Michigan and Nebraska is the first time Iowa has beaten teams ranked 20 or higher in the AP with fewer than 14 days in between the wins. That year Iowa did it 6 weeks in a row against #10 Oregon State, #6 Northwestern, #13 Michigan State, #12 Wisconsin, #10 Purdue, and #19 Kansas.

This was a major feat that they pulled off. I really appreciate this teams hard work that allowed them to finish the regular season so strong!

#19 Wis and #20 NW waaay back in 2015 were 14 days apart.

1960 team lost to the hated led by QB Sandy Stephens Gophers 27-10 at Minneapolis . Iowa was number 1 and Minnesota number 3. Beating 6 ranked teams and shutting out unranked Notre Dame 28-0 for good measure.
