First step in moving fans closer to the court

This move is about 40 years overdue.
The CHA project was really f-ed up. They scaled back on the original design despite fundraising not being an issue. How any AD or committee would approve final architectural plans seeing the stands that far from the basketball floor is a mystery.

It was our "Metrodome". Poor compromise design outdated before it opened.

Beth cannot go back in time and remedy mistakes. Nor have I heard any suggestion that there is enough donor money for a new arena or a serious makeover. Baby steps are probably the best that is available, but at least there is some incremental progress on improving the atmosphere. Student section is the best place to start.

This will have little to no effect. Winning is the only cure for poor attendance at Carver. Putting empty student section seats closer to the court so they stand out better on TV broadcasts is not the answer.

Interesting. I would take those tickets for every game. My wife is a nurse and I suggested to her that we could move to Iowa City and she could be a nurse there and we could purchase season tickets to Iowa basketball and football games.

I’ll take those damn tickets and on the first miss call I would give it to the officials each time up and down the floor.

Unfortunately, we are about to have another grandchild (our fifth) in about a week and they all live within 15 miles of us here in Utah. I tried to point out all the advantages of ZOOM, but my wife wasn’t buying that.
