First half vs Milan

Garza leading scorer again. Third game in a row. I guess if Fran sticks with the plan he won't play game 4.

I think Moss has a higher ceiling than Jok. Probably never be the pure shooter Pete was but he's got a pretty good stroke and drives much better especially in the open court and a much better defender.

I think you're exactly right, iba. Moss, in many ways, will be the key to this team. He's the only guy that can truly create his own shot from the wing. Let's see who gets the ball with the end of clock situations, end of half, end of game, with no t.o's.

And look at Conner. I think he's had a couple good games in a row.

Connor looked decent in the first game when I watched him but I'm still not sure he's a good enough scorer from the wing position and he's not a true PG and I'm worried about his quickness on D as well as I'm not sure he can penetrate against other Big Ten PGs.

You're right and I guess the competition so far has been NCAA division III level.

This...is something Fran's teams have needed badly.

I don't know if Moss can be as good as Pete offensively, but he will be 10x better defensively, and that could make him better overall than Pete was.

Also keep in mind Pete was the lone Sr on a very young team. Moss is going to have much better (older and more complete) players around him. He won't have to go off for 25-30 for Iowa to be in games.

I really think Moss is going to break out this year. If he's improved his handle in the half court and can either go to the hole or create for others...he creates a whole new problem for opposing defenses. He can flat out shoot it...so you have to run him off the 3 point line...penetrating and feeding teammates is the next step in his development. He also has a nice pull up game. He's going to be a much more complete player than Peter Jok...and he's alot more athletic. Upside is huge.

Along with having some true post players (probably Garza and Cook) this will help keep the paint open for him to get to the hole. I'm getting hopeful that all the pieces are coming together.

Moss had some games last season in which he was outstanding and some in which he seemed to disappear. If he can double the number of outstanding ones from last year to this year and halve the games he disappeared on, we'll be in good shape.

Bohannon 0-4 from three, only two fake assists and four TOs. 56, where art thou?

Yes, we needed his insight.

Bohannon likes spaghetti to much. He didn't shoot very accurately from three in the prime time league. Maybe this is the year Williams will pass him by.

Everyone is talking about the competition sucking, but that's based on the talent level of this team. If a Lick team was playing in these games, the competition would be pretty good. I'm not saying they are good teams or anything. I'm just saying not every D1 team would destroy these teams like we are.

So pretty much what many were saying about Bohannon at this time last year...not a flame just a generic observation.
