the problem isnt with the coaching staff...
gary barta has his head so far up kirks backside that kirk is ok with being average at best..
when barta gross balls and realizes that Kirk. ken and the rest of the staff need to be changed will iowa football really matter again...

I'd say more like a 2 to 3 year rebuild. We lose McNutt, Zusevics, Gettis, Prater, 3/4 of our D-line, Bernstein and probably Reiff.

that argument and thought process is old and played out. we are not osu or Michigan or any of the elites. we are Iowa. the recruiting this coaching staff has done has been great concidering. the coaches can't play the game for them either. what this team lacks is leadership and intensity. something coaches have no control over.

That argument is old and played out as well. We have what, like the 8th most players in the NFL right now of all college programs?
We have had enough talent to compete. So let's dispense with the "we are Iowa" card.

we are still Iowa. those players that are in the NFL Were developed by this terrible coaching staff. thanks for making my point
Are you kidding me? We have 9 rookies in the league and only managed 8 wins last year. Shonn Greene's team was loaded as well and lost 4 games all by one possession. The only thing that's been proven is Kirk's inability to win playing with a close lead.
