It's great to see all of these guys already entered and it will be some GREAT competition for them!

He really didn't have that much trouble holding 125 last year and plans to go back there next year as well. With the international weigh in rules the extra 4 pounds really won't be all that hard. The holding 125 with 1 hour weigh ins and being strong enough to not lose any duals all year is even more impressive, IMHO.

I know they had a World University and Fila Jr event already, what was the purpose of those? Did the winners just get a spot in the finals for these events?

the one weekend a good wrestling tourny is going on and i can't watch it

guess i'll be fishing and checking hawkeyenation for your coverage

what weights are going tomorrow Fulsaas?

I'm pretty sure that it's 74KG, 84KG, 96KG, and 120KG fpr FILA Jr and 55KG, 60KG, and 66KG for University wrestle tomorrow, everybody else on Saturday.

That means that St John, E Lofthouse, Gambrall, Dennis, Krutsinger, and Mark Ballweg would all wrestle on Friday.

McDonough, Nate Moore, Ramos, Kerr, Matt Ballweg, Gilmor, L Lofthouse, Ambrose, Johnson, and Rasing on Saturday.

Thanks! Looks like another day of not getting much done at work tomorrow....

Well, I'm going to be swamped tomorrow with not much chance to get on the net until about 9pm! I hope that someone on here can keep everyone up to date and I'll check in if I can.

I noticed that Cory Ryak Finch from Arizona is registered at 121.25. Isn't he the kid that is going to ISU. Hope he wrestles "the wire" and gets a taste of Hawkeye wrestling!

The brackets for the weights being contested tomorrow are out!

From what I saw here are some of the results thus far:
60 KG: Dennis vs. Humphrey for 1st
66 KG: Kennedy vs. Lavalley for 1st and Mark Ballweg has Jaggers on the backside and winner advances to 3rd place match.
74 KG: Polz vs. Taylor for 1st and St. John has Bailey on backside. Taylor never wrestled anybody "real" good and cruised to finals match.
84 KG: Gambrall has Hamlin then more than likely Perry for 1st

BAD DAY FOR THE HAWKS!!!! Dennis lost to Humphrey 5-4,0-1,0-7. Gambrall got pinned by Perry in I think 44 seconds!!! Backside results were NOT any better Ballweg lost to Jaggers 0-3,1-0,0-1 and St. John got pinned by Spanger in I think 44 seconds!!!! We got some work to do guys!!! I am REALLY suprise St. John struggled!!

Lofthouse did not look too good either losing in 2 matches. Hawks stunk it up pretty good today.
