Anyone think there is a chance that he will change his mind again and sign with Illinois. They have brought in Petrino and a pro-style offense that might make the Illini appealing again to a homestate kid.
No. His original decision to commit to Illinois seemed rash. His build-up to commit to Iowa was deliberate. He seems like a smart kid. I do not seem him changing now.
I just dont see Illinois having a compelling case for him. They can promise they will start throwing to TE's more, where Iowa has a decades track record....plus, Zook is probably there one more year.
While I don't think it's fair to fault Ford at age 18 for not being a psychic about what direction the two programs have gone since his signing, he would have very likely been a 1,000 yd rusher this year at Iowa.
