Fiedorowicz - blocking

He really struggled last night in blocking. On several running plays his man made the tackle for a zero to one yard gain. It will be interesting to see his grade from hawkeyegamefilm. If he doesn't improve his blocking skills next year I would not be surprised to see him sharing time next year.

Again, if the guy isn't a great blocker use him more as an H Back. Hard to believe KF can't learn that one from his hoodie-donning Imperial Ruler.

Do we actually practice blocking with full-contact in practice? I do agree his blocking leaves something to be desired but our experienced line in general took turns missing assignments all year.... rarely do we get consistency in our engagement and push across our line. Leads to many busted plays and stalled drives.

he will get better. Tall Tight ends are great over the middle but getting leverage when blocking takes some special skill when your 6'7
He will be great next year

The interior of the line has not been up to snuff since MacMillan went down. RR has played well, but gets a little too high at times and gets knocked off balance.

Actually, its hard to understand that he can't learn how to block.

Awesome point. Is that the principle element for 90-95% of most offensive football? He has the physical attributes to be dominate so what else could it be? Desire/attitude?

Two years in the program.... during his post game interview he note something about being excited to spend some time watching film, etc. to get better in the off-season. I'm thinking two years in and you are finally realizing this! Wow... where have the coaches been ... not on him about this from day one.
