Kinnick Stadium looks like this. This is a pic of Cal's Memorial Stadium just minutes before the Golden Bears kicked off vs. Washington.

And Tedford was untouchable 3 years ago, but now he is on the hot seat. I bet those morons will owe him like a $50 million buyout. Stupid hippies.

and if people would take a close look at who Iowa has been losing to its no where near as bad as perople trhink, losing to NW who is 7-2 and was the 1st BT team to become Bowl eligible, PSU who is playing with something to prove and have 18 seniors in the 2 deeps, ISU is no longer a pushover like so many Hawk fans like to think, losing to CMU was no where near acceptable but lets face it JVB staked the defense to a 10 point lead only To have the defense give up a TD A 2 POINT CONVERSION, THE ST failed to recover a onside kick for the 2nd straight year, and a career long feild goal to the CMU kicker in 2 minutes but posters blame JVB for that loss, when it is all on the defense and ST.

Kinnick will never be that empty. What the hell else is there to do in Iowa City in the fall? This ain't California.

great, herby is back, just in time for b-ball season, i can't wait, yes i can.

yikes that looks bad. on the level of Miami also.

You fail to realize it's not simply the losing. It's HOW they're losing. PSU and NW is better, and both are good teams this year. No shame in losing to them. But Iowa was flat-out EMBARRASSED by them.

Our highlight win this year is either an OT win over a 5-4 MSU team that's struggling just about as badly as we are, or the 31-13 win over Minnesota (who also ain't very good).

Jumper Kinnick will never be that bad. Have you ever gone and looked at the attendances at Kinnick during the 70's? Enough said..

Yep. Fry always said one of the reasons he took the Iowa job when he did was because of the impressive fan attendance despite two decades of losing football.

I think it would only take a single season where the average attendance was around 75-90% for KF to feel real heat. Unless they're still selling out after 3 consecutive 3-9 seasons or something like that.

That stadium is built directly on top of the San Andreas fault! It has structural damage that is being repaired.

Its the Hayward fault but yes, you're correct. It was closed the last year or so to fix the issues. And literally, the fault line goes directly under the stadium.

Once everyone realizes that IOWA isnt a top tier team that we all expect it to be the sooner the ledge will clear up. We all have high hopes year in and year out but maybe we set the bar WAY to high for a program that really hasnt been that relevant for years.

That's the spirit! The bar should be set at 2-10 every year and we should add four years to Ferentz's contract for each win in excess of that!

What you're doing is called rationalization. The facilities and the Coaching staff salaries are indications of the University's expectations. Quit making excuses.

Rationalizing is what you do when you're rational. It is not making excuses. It's reality.

Also, it is pretty obvious that Kurt salary is not an indication of the University's expectations for his performance on the field. Stop being a giant idiot.
