It's only for an hour a week...I know of a show where more patience is required...and doesn't always hold out

Ha! I wondered Saturday if the new "drinking rules" would have any affect on the type of callers! Of course most of the people at the game are still packing up or trying to get on I80. There ought to be some "screening" questions before they get on the air. Maybe listen carefully and have them walk through their living rooms. If you hear them fall, hang up fast!

Walden just seems to be not very good with names...reminds me of my dad, who to this day still calls Chuck Hartlieb, "Chuck Hartley"...annoys the hell out of me!

It happens. My wife will always call a "Greg," "Craig" and vice versa. No matter how many times I correct her, she always gets it wrong. The weird thing is that she is remarkably consistent with it.

There was one guy that called in last week who told Zabel that he was sounding "off, like his mouth was full of marbles" and that he wasn't speaking well.
I don't know if a caller has ever p***** me off more than that in my life. Absolutely no respect, and I felt horrible for Zabel. This guy has given 50 yrs of his time as a great representative for the University, and that's how he gets treated.
I could have given that caller an upper cut.

Fair share of idiots.. heard two callers... one asked if they wouldn't let Vandenberg throw because the coaches were afraid he would show that he is better than Stanzi, and another person asked why he didn't challenge Sandemans fumble (because we were up 30, and he wasn't down)

Ferentz is a patient man to deal with some of these questions.. have to admit.. the Chris Myers question cracked me up!

I've given up on Iowa post game and Wednesday night call in shows. I listen to Soundoff, but thats it.

I remember listening to the post game show last weekend and some guy was asking Dolph why Iowa's secondary struggled so much against EIU. I believe we gave up something like 92 passing yards last week...that pretty much says it all.

Its like some people don't watch the games...
