KF has this whole coach speak thing down so good that when someone throws a softball question about his son ("Have you been pleased with James Ferentz") he still can't answer it directly. Instead of saying something along the lines of, "Yeah, I've been pleased with his production so far this year. He's playing with some younger players, but showing good leadership as you would expect out of a 3 year senior starter. I expect even better things from him down the road this season as the offensive line becomes more of a cohesive group." Instead you get, "He is playing well."

He's always been uncomfortable talking much about his sons while they are playing there.
He's a dad whose kid is an all-conference performer. I don't think anyone would bemoan the fact that he talks up his kid from time to time. It's one thing if Lickliter tried that. But James is an all-conference center and on the Remington Watch List. Give him some props, dad!
