Ferentz: JVB Gives Us Best Chance to Win

No, he places more faith in the press statements of those who DO have first-hand accounts than he does a random message board poster who doesn't have that account. There's a big difference between that and claiming to be an insider.

FIFY.

And I think it's very reasonable to question if his faith is misplaced.

This is what every coach in the world does except one. Kirk either doesn't understand when to make a switch, is to loyal to make a switch, or is to scared to make a switch. Whatever the reason, any other coach would have tried another qb by now.

BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know Cory's first hand account, but my guess is it is just as much as yours. Unfortunately you like to make it appear as if you have insider info.

I would think Jon Miller would know more than most anyone on this board. Just my sense.

But does anyone really believe that Kirk would play JVB ahead of anyone else only out of stubborness? He wants to win and every win means a little more for his program and less criticism from the haters.

Kyle McCann played over Brad Banks
Jake Christiansen played over Ricky Stanzi
JVB plays over the back up

Kirk better not comeback next year and blame our problems on a QB with a lack of expirience

Here we go again..

Two words:
Jake Christensen.

We are supposed to trust that we have no other quarterbacks that can play at the very least, the same level as what we are getting?

Come on.. You can't blame fans for questioning. Ferentz WILL NEVER admit he is wrong about anything.

If JVB is really the only option Iowa has at QB, then we really are hopelessly buried at the bottom of our division. (and Ferentz has done a horrible job at recruiting)

"Ferentz WILL NEVER admit he is wrong about anything."

You got that right!!

At this point Iowa is pretty much playing for next season. The JVB gives us the best chance to win nonsense is pretty much out the window, especially as far as the fans are concerned!

I'm not in a position to dispute whether or not JVB gives us the best chance to win. The coaching staff should be the best equipped to make that decision. That is what they are payed to do.

I question if this is considered a rebuilding year? I would certainly hope so, if not then we haven't even begun to feel the pain. If it is a rebuilding year, then is winning or player development the more important outcome?
