Ferentz: Garmon, Bullock Not Ruled Out vs Central Michigan

Also, one of the reason I chose to move to a new wordpress theme are evident in this item. I like the professional grade block quoting, as well as some pull quote options..plus we can add photo or content sliders into stories...click on the arrow next to the Garmon photo and see what I mean.

Gonna make me click on that link, aren'tcha...

Edit: Clicked on it...wasn't as bad as I thought it would look!

It's not heinous...but in slow mo as he was walking off, things were sort of poking out where they probably shouldn't have. Hey, I can take a quick vid of him walking off and include that.

Do it up, Miller! Are you staying up later every night, playing with this brand new and improved toy of yours?

I hope they don't play. Pound away with Weismann and maybe work Malloy into the mix, then be ready to go with depth in big ten play.

You better believe it. There is so much under the hood with both the message board software and the new wordpress theme...still getting acclimated and familiar with both. Have barely scratched the surface. Working on being able to post a story and it automatically post here, just added a forum RSS feed to the content pages that show recent posts...those things are not 'wow' things to you all, but to me as a publisher, it saves time and interlinking is so important on a website.

Since pushing the new content manager live on Thursday, I have noticed a spike in story views. So I appreciate everyone checking those out.

You did good, Jon...usually I fear change once something becomes as familiar as an old comfy pair of shoes, but this has been cool from the get-go.

I agree with Jon here. Since we play a lesser foe, I would be shocked if either play. Bullock was out cold, and I doubt they mess around with a head injury if they know they can rest him. And with Garmon, it took LaMichael James two missed games before he came back in limited action. I predict heavy doses of Weisman, and hopefully a big enough lead to see Malloy get plenty of reps.

I don't think they would let an NFL RB play the next week after a concussion like that
Pretty reckless if Bullock is out there next week

Don't play them and don't overuse Weisman......

The Chipmonks should be an easy win, and a chance to give other running backs some actual game experience. Minnesota is up next, and we will need everyone healthy and out of danger of a reoccurring injury. Minne plays Syracuse this Saturday at home and it might be a tough game. Hopefully it will take it's toll on them.....

Bullock should not even be under consideration to play this week. I'm sure he wants to play but with everything we've learned about the long term effects of concussions in the last few years it shocks me they haven't ruled him out already.

Saw Garmon last night in Iowa City, he was in a sling and he wasnt moving it at all. He did seem to be in good spirits though!

Neither 1 SHOULD play. Weisman proved he can get us through. I know it was only UNI, but he did well enough. Also, why have we not seen AD yet?

Agreed. I would be shocked if Bullock was given clearance to play. There is no rushing healing the injury to the brain that occurs from concussion. It's serious stuff; returning too soon could make him more susceptible to head injury that can have serious, long-term effects. I would have questions about the Iowa medical staff if they let him play this weekend.

Garmon's elbow injury looked nasty. Hope he also is given appropriate time to heal.

It loooks like the O line is continuing to imrove in the run game. I'd like to see a dominant O line performance and big holes for Weisman to run through. I'd also love to see VDB continue to clean up his reads and throws.

These hawks can be "serviceable" this year, and it would be great if they continue to improve a lot the next two weeks.

I was encouraged by the O line and of course, the defense in the 2nd half.
