What coaches do you most like to beat? Any sport past or present.

Mine aren't necessarily the ones I hate the most, but it sure is/was fun to beat them.

Tom Crean
Paul Rhodes
Mark Dantonio

Guys like Fleck and Campbell that put all their eggs in one basket and look like they're going to cry when we beat them.

Bo Schembechler may have topped my list, but I don't really remember him.
 
I kinda like beating James Franklin. Also, PJ Fleck because he's such a hyper spaniel.

Frost is gone, but is was super fun beating him. Really enjoyed the time we beat Urban Myer. Also agree with you on Dantonio.
 
I have to look historically as there aren't many that bother me anymore. Not saying I disliked all of them. Iowa didn't beat all of them.

I should have disliked Tark and Pearl, but they were likeable in a lot of ways.
 
Bill Frieder hasn't been mentioned yet.

He would go out of his way to dis Iowa in any way, even well after retirement. I'm talking the team, the fans, the city, everything.

Maybe he got Iowa confused with Iowa State. He was a front runner for the open Cyclone position in 1981 until his own boss Johnny Orr got involved, and ended up getting the job instead.

Frieder ended up getting Orr's old job at Michigan. But the coach who was originally offered the Cyclone job was a certain man with the unpronouncable Polish name who ended up taking the Duke job instead.

That ended up working out pretty well for the Dukies.

Old school FB: Any Ohio State/Iowa State coach, Saban
Old school BB: Knight, Heathcoat, any Iowa State coach
New school FB: Any Ohio State/Iowa State coach, Fleck, Saban
New school BB: Izzo, Howard, Al-fraud, any Iowa State coach
 
My all time hated coach was Bo Schembechler. He was the Michigan coach in the 80's when I was in high school and college.

He is the main reason I hate Michigan more than other team. More than Ohio State even though Iowa loses to OSU more often than any other team. More than PSU despite Joe Paterno hanging around too long and covering up unspeakable acts. More than ISU or Minn or Wisc or Neb or ILL or NW too.
 
Harbough. Row row row your boat. Urban Woodshead Meyer. For B ball Frieder Knight Heathcoat (great fun to watch) and Henson. Wrestling ALL of them. Go hawks !
 
I dislike the long line of BB coaches in the BT who have converted the conference to “thug ball.”

Remember in a game at Crisler Arena Frieder screamed at Jeff Moe when the teams were going into the
locker rooms at halftime: Moe, You're, an ass....

Any annoying whiners, which Franklin and Fleck come to mind on the football side.

Basketball wise, Izzo is the first coach I think of or any coach that has that constipated look on their face and tries to manipulate every call.
