Fat Cats!!!

Remember when KF would refer to the players as Fat Cats??? If barta wants to even start to have some credibility with anyone, he should refer to KF as a Fat Cat publicly and speak about him the same way KF spoke about his players then.

"We played like fat cats. I thought we looked like fat cats, and they looked like a hungry team. That is my responsibility. That is certainly not the identity we're looking for as a football team."
--Kirk Ferentz, following a loss to Northwestern, November 2006

That is KF's responsibility and he still cant fire up his teams to beat bad to mediocre teams.

I still cant believe he loss to ISU, mind boggling.

It is obvious at this point that KF is the Fat Cat. No way does a young, hungry head coach let this program slip to where it has slipped. It has happened because he has become complacent and refuses to address the problems that are so self evident that everyone but he can see. If he would have simply brought this offense into the 21st century 3 years ago, this team would be in a much better spot. If he would have started CJ since the Purdue game, this program is in much better shape.

The freaking guy didn't have to reinvent the wheel, just freaking get off your fat cat perch and quit thinking that the answer is to do everything just like you did 16 years ago. Get better assistants, let them do their job, and change some.....Not even alot for Gawds sake, but just some to take advantage of the way the game is played now.

And for saying that Mark Wiesman will run no less than 15 stretch plays in the bowl game.

There are plenty of fat cats in the Iowa Athletic Department. There hasn't been an original thought there in decades.

You looking for validation? If so try this book, cause you aint getting it from me. A broken clock is right twice a day, as is a person who says X coach sucks and will get fired......it is only a matter of time til both are right.

Where have I ever said "I knew it all along"? Please quote it, and show me.

I supported KF, and I will continue to support the team no matter who the coach is. We all know that you don't support the team or players, and root for them to lose every game as long as he is the coach.

If I call for Fran's head today am I some sort of genius if he gets let go 6 years from now?? Just curious, as according to you, I need to jump on the bandwagon soon, or my window of opportunity will be closing???

Mark Weisman in an interview before the Wisconsin game that "This is what they play college football for. If you can't get up for this game you shouldn't be playing". Why some of you need a rah rah cheerleader is beyond me. Weisman doesn't.

Some of you are just clueless and just b!tch to b!tch. You sit at home and see very little of the coaches. During the Wisconsin game in the second half Iowa called a time out on a drive. While the offensive squad met to talk over the next play the O-line stayed on the field and Kirk went half way out on to the field pumped his fist, clapped and yelled out to the O-line. It worked they scored on that drive.

KF might not be a fatcat, but he's an older cat, out of shape, no longer prowling or giving fear to any other creature. The wildlife has passed him by and he can't get it done anymore. Time to find a spot in the sun, curl up and take a nap.

So youre saying Iowa beat wisconsin this year because kirk pumped up the oline? But they shouldnt need to get pumped up? Some of us are just clueless but you have a clue because you saw kirk run half way on to the field(going half way seems about right though)? On the plus side though kirk wasnt in the offensive huddle to screw that up.

Ive been pointing out his flaws for many moons and you have debated me on those till a month ago. So tell me dean did kirk just stop being a good coach or have you been wrong this whole time? Its not like Ive been claiming kirk is going to get fired this year and then claiming that hed be gone the next year just waiting to be right. I have no idea when all the goobers will finally have it figured out that Norm was the football mind and kirk doesnt have a clue. Ive never made claim to when he will be gone. Id hope sooner than later but gary really made that a mess. I guess I will be wrong if kirk ever has a year in which he doesnt lose to one of the worst teams on his schedule.

I argue with your idiotic points. Have I ever told you KF has good clock management? Have I ever said that KF is an offensive innovator? Have I ever said that KF a risk taker? No, I've never said these things.

You think KF is a garbage coach, he does nothing well, and any success he has had is due only to Norm. That is simply idiotic. I don't know of any person who credits the #2 guy over the man in charge. Did Saben win those titles at Bama, or did is DC? Does Dantonio only win becaue of Narduzzi? KF employed Norm, KF gets the credit, that is pretty much universal, except for you I guess.
