FanVote: Who is Iowa's Offensive MVP?

I could go either way with Weisman or Rudock.
Weisman was a hammer. Rudock was the captain of a well balanced, solid executing offense.

Then again, maybe we should just go with whoever bought the American Yorkshire at the Adair County fair and ritually sacrificed it to AIRBHG on the highest peak of the Loess Hills.

Careful with your speak of pigs on this board, you will be accused of being an ISU fan.

Scherff. Really there is no standout this year and this award really should be shared by the o-line.

I love the the way Jake performed this year and was quite surprised by his pocket presence, but I wouldn't say he did anything MVPish, same with backs, receivers, and tight ends. If the award has to be given out I would give it to the the entire o-line.

Mark Weisman, 6-1 when he was healthy, and possibly 7-0 if they would have used him more in the second half that game.

probably jake. saw what happened last year with an awful QB. while not exactly an offensive juggernaut Iowa was able to make plays when needed to double their win count this year thanks to a QB that resembled something of a D1 caliber player. Here is hoping he turns out to be the next stanzi, without all the pick 6's.

I went with Scherff. I still don't buy that JVB was awful. 25s TD vs 7 picks as a junior tells me dude wasn't that bad. Of course, McNutt made him better in the same way Megatron makes Stafford look like an NFL QB in Detroit, but last year wasn't all on JVB. It looked to me like they ditched a lot of the optionality in the passing game, which is what I think ruined the 2012 season along with the key o-line injuries.

Scherf. Rudock isn't Rudock without him. Weisman isn't Weisman without him.

If there was ever a team where an OL can be the MVP this is it.

This poll starts and ends with Jake Rudock. Props to Scherff, the RBs, the TEs, the improved WR play, etc., but Jake looked, acted and played (for the most part) like a RS Jr., not a RS So.

I'm not sure I'm following your logic. Is this just because you say so?

Yes because I say so!! Ok it's my opinion.

All you need to do is look at what happened to the offense when Jake went out. We instantly struggled with CJ at QB and in most cases the offense stalled, if not completely stopped.

Scherff is out best player but he doesn't have that kind of impact if he leaves the game.

Again this is most VALUABLE, not the best player award.

I went with Jake but Schreff was a close second. Really, Really want Brandon to come back and fear that the offense might stagnate without him.
