Fant's Presser

No tweet from Josey but he's not a big twitter guy anyways, he only has like 70 total tweets. Noah mentions that he spoke with them on his top 30 visit and they had nothing but great things to say about the team.

I'm guessing Fant's decision to skip the bowl game, right or wrong, wasn't too popular with Jewell--the quintessential "team-first" Iowa guy. I just don't see those two personality types meshing. But that's ok, they play on opposite sides of the ball.

Now Hawkleberry’s the subject of conspiracy theory? What has the world come to? What if frauiowa and gesturehawk are actually in a romantic tryst? See, anyone can make it up.

My comments on fant jewel and kreiter were based on well known personality traits of all parties. Jewell and Fant are very different personalities with Jewell gravitating more towards the Iowa way. Seems very reasonable.

You put 60 players on an NFL team, including practice squads, and you will run the gamut just about every personality known to mankind. But here's an interesting twist. They're called professional athletes. Professionals of every nationality, ethnic background and personality can put differences aside for the sake of a goddamn football team. Look at Brian Urlacher and Jay Cutler. It's no secret that they despised each other. They still put their differences aside for three hours on Sundays in the fall to try and win football games. And I'm sure there are many more examples too. Hell there's documented examples of coaches and coordinators not getting along well.

I don't disagree.

At this point it no longer matters. These guys are professionals and will behave like such no matter their personal feelings. That is the Iowa way. It is for better or worse the culture. Each one of them makes me proud. Fant's career was polarizing at times which probably makes me root for him harder. I do think he is a hell of a young man. He obviously had to work hard to deal with the natural emotions that would come from taking a backseat role when you feel that you are at least equal.

Good for you Noah. Thanks for taking the high road and Thanks for your service to Iowa. Now go kill it in the NFL and show the world what your made of. I will purchase your jersey my bro.

Never said they wouldn't behave like professionals.

I don't know if there was any inference behind your OP or not, but that is the way I think a few of us took it. Snubbing a fellow teammate could be considered unprofessional without context. I just wanted to say I didn't think that was the case.

I apologize if I put words into your mouth.
